181 Fitness’ philosophy focuses on what we call the Health Trifecta: fitness, nutrition and mindset.
Each semi-private client has a customized plan of action that’s specific to each person’s fitness and health goals which includes all three components of our philosophy. Nutrition consultations and goal setting/check-in sessions are a integral part of your success. Not only do you need to know what you need to be doing, but also need a clear picture of where you're going and what obstacles are ahead of you. We call these sessions monthly strategic planning sessions because that's exactly what they are - sessions dedicated towards evaluating what progress you've made and setting a short-term plan of action that aligns with your ultimate, long-term goal. And guess what? These sessions, as well as weekly check-ins to make sure you’re sticking to the agreed upon plan, are 100% included in the price of your program.
We also encourage social support in and outside the gym environment by gaining support from family and friends as well as through social media within our fitness community. Our private 181 Facebook page is there for gym members to share their successes, hardships, recipes, humor and words of encouragement. We also host some kind of social event at least once a month. We consistently host movie nights, member appreciation dinners, beach outings, hikes, scavenger hunts, and more.
When we design a personal training exercise program for someone, we choose exercises tailored to our clients’ specific needs, physical capabilities, and, to a degree =), their preferences. Injury prevention is major priority and we work very closely with our clients to ensure that each movement is safe, systematic, and effective. However, it doesn't mean much to have a great, custom program is you don't have an expert coach to deliver it. We only staff fitness experts who are nationally certified, committed to education and continued professional growth, aim to be among the top 5 in the industry, and, most importantly, care about you achieving your goals just as much as you do. Yeah, we're kind of selective.
Several time slots throughout the day are available for semi-private sessions, starting as early as 5:00 a.m. through 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and in the morning hours on Saturdays and Sundays. And if for some reason you don't find a time that works for you then we can easily open one up.
